As soon as I started reading your email I though about assigning the function to PF2 and then using the SWH47; command. I put the radio into split mode, locked VFO B and changed freq with VFO A. The SWH47; command worked fine. It set VFO A to match VFO B. I think this is just what they're looking for. Provided he does not mind using a PF key to do it.
