I remoted a TS-2000 for some time when I was on the road for work 2 to 3 weeks a month. Like most people, I used Skype for the audio. For the rig control I used TRX-Manager. Main reason I did the control that way was TRX-Manager used about 300 baud of bandwidth to control the rig, rotor, and antennas. From most hotel's Bandwidth was an important consideration 5 years ago when I was doing this. I'm not sure it still is.
