I have HRD setup, and use the remote server and IP-Sound. Once you have the soundcard configured, it is pretty easy to do. I really like being able to operate anywhere in the house, or outside on the laptop.
For internet use, I am going to setup two Skype accounts for audio. I have no idea if the Omni-VII is easier, or how it works. But interfacing the soundcard is usually the part that is problematic, so I doubt it is just plug and play, or any easier in general.
