Because it has a better integration, because I can use it in the field, without 
a PC (or laptop connected), because it has a small format (ok, perhaps not 
quite as small as a netbook).

Because I haven't yet seen any Mac OSX software to implement a Pan-Adapter.

Because it has a great potential, not just as being able to display RTTY & PSK 
in more chars etc on the screen. But the interface could do far more and I 
expect it will over time.

Yes you could do all that by running different software at the same time.

However, I'm not interested in CWSkimmer. I haven't made the investment in an 
LP-PAN or the audio card, purely because I ran a Mac and I've been waiting for 
the P3. I do own a microHam DIGIKEYER, which has a very good Audio CODEC.

Maybe I'm mad, but I also like the idea of staying away from too much 
computerisation - I spend 14+ hours a day at a computer - it's my job, as well 
as a hobby and I like the idea of it not being dominant in my other hobbies.
