I unloaded the firmware by going back to an earlier version. After seeing it worked "OK" on USB, I deleted the new files from the K3 utility, reloaded them in a new folder, and installed from that folder. The problem repeats. The problem seems to go away if I offset the SSB TX filter by -800 Hz.
