Thanks for your reply.  Initially I had used a second receiver to align the K1. 
 But it appeared that my trimmers were more than 20 degrees off.  So based upon 
your suggestion I reset them and re-peaked.  That did the trick!  I am now 
getting approx 5 watts out on all 4 bands!!!

I managed a quick QSO on 40 meters last night before another station clobbered 
my 4 watts.  But at least I know it is working.

I have two more issues that I need to track down.  One is that when I touch the 
top of the K1 case that the volume gets louder on 20 and 17 meters.  No change 
in volume on 30 and 40 meters.  

The other is that my receive range is lower than I want across the 4 bands.  
40:  6.984 - 7.084
30: 10.078 - 10.179
20: 13.978 - 14.078
17: 18.028 - 18.128
Is there any way to shift it?


I am sure I have other things to tweek.  For instance, I need to get a closer 
transmit/receive signal.  Just thrilled that something I built is working!
