The election results of the Nov. 2, 1999 Cambridge, Mass City Council
election (using a form of single transferable votes (STV)) are at--

http://www.ci.cambridge.ma.us/~Election/99council.pdf

(pdf document)

Note that --(a) 1875 of the 18777 valid votes were "exhausted" (i.e. wasted)
due to the use of the Droop Quota;
(b) only 1 winning candidate had an initial surplus and that 7 of the 9
winners were elected on the 13th and 14th counts (after 15 candidates lost).

It would be interesting to know how many 1st, 2nd, etc choice votes there
were for each winner.
