Hi I figured it out! (actually my super clever Linux friend helped me :-)
In my Ubuntu i had to disable the visual effects (that also uses OpenGL I think) System > Preferences > Appearence > Visual Effects > None Now it works fine (Even with a version 2.6.28sickboy-kuki of the kernel) Best Regards, Kristian From: [email protected] To: [email protected]; [email protected] Subject: RE: [Elisa] Elisa Media Center 0.5.29 Release Date: Tue, 24 Feb 2009 01:07:10 +0100 CC: Hi Actually the wheel in the first window with all the icons are dimmed and upside-down! Strange! I have installed it on a fairly fresh ubuntu 8.10 on an Acer Aspire One 150bw (I killed the XP :-) The splash screen sort of flickers When the main window opens the icons disappear after a sec or two. I can select music (as a blind mouse) Music draws but the top looks like a San Francisco Rainbow and after a sec or two it looks stranger (icons sort of stretched). Then it all disappears. I can navigate but it looks strange I do not know if it is a problem with the OpenGL driver? When I do a sudo apt-get update I get the following error at the end W: GPG error: http://ppa.launchpad.net intrepid Release: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY 7C5BAD1320A0D1DA W: You may want to run apt-get update to correct these problems Please help!
