Yeah, I've experienced that on a very similar machine, running intrepid.
The intel driver there for the 945GM is totally rubish, it totally
scrambles your textures if you're in a composited environment.

Also, for that card/driver combination, I would suggest running elisa
with PGM_GL_VBLANK=0 and PGM_GL_FPS=60 for best results.
