It should be quite easy to listen to events from an input provider and
poke gnome screensaver in
[gnome.gnome_screensaver_service:GnomeScreensaverService]

There's a workaround here, too - set 

blocking_mode = 2

in the above section in your config file. This will inhibit the
screensaver whenever elisa is running.
