Hi,

I actually wiped out the install and installed Ubuntu cmdline with OpenBox from
scratch. That's when I realized that I had an old ATI Radeon 9700 Pro card in
the machine and the latest Catalyst drivers (that are available in Ubuntu 8.10)
aren't supporting that card, so that may be the reason why this didn't work.

I guess I could re-try, but unfortunately this machine can't boot from USB so
it was a hassle to get your image on it. Any chance you can create a LiveCD as
well?

Thanks for your effort!
/Hakan

Can you send us the output of glxinfo? Just go to a tty (ALT+F2) login
as user root, password linux, and run glxinfo.

Does it says BADREQUEST also?
