I have reluctantly said my nostalgic goodbye to Claris EMailer, and moved my mailing operations over to Mail under OSX. I am already missing the snappy performance and comfortable feel of EMailer, but since I had to make the transition sometime, the Junk Mail filter (which works REALLY well) finally won me over.
I wanted to share with this list a helpful discovery I made after having a LOT of trouble trying to import from EMailer. I had EMailer set to check mail every 2 minutes, and when I was trying to Import from Mail, it kept freezing up, getting stuck on a certain eMail, but a different one every time. I finally realized that it was happening when EMailer was checking for mail. Disabling the automatic checking for mail during import of my 20MB mail database finally allowed the process to go smoothly. Also, I discovered in the Import window that Option-clicking on the column header above the check-boxes will either select or deselect all check-boxes. This was CRITICAL when I discovered that I had failed to import an entire sub-section of folders -- having to deselect all but those would have been unbearably tedious (especially since it was crashing and I'd probably have to do it several times).
