This is incorrect and the universal way you put it makes the statement a lie. You have no firm facts for your statement. There is virtually no software with user group support that doesn't have any error reports, even if there of course are differences between different products. Emailer 2.0v3 is hardly one of the most corruptprone databases out there. Some reports doesn't make a universal problem. Besides, the disks file database (!) can get corrupt too and there's no guarantee that won't happen. As you run OS 9, this have of course never ever happend to you or anyone you know. >from a previous subscription to this list - about once a month someone >would complain about a corrupted database. >From how many users? What version of Emailer and OS did the users having problems really have? I've been using a 300 to 700 MB Emailer database with over 100 000 messages and have had no crashes or big problems in Emailer since 2.0v3 and Mac OS 8.6. An Emailer version you state you don't use, yet claim to know everything about. I rebuild once or twice a year. I keep my disks in order, which if they fail can't be attributed to Emailer. I've heard several people on this list tell similar stories. You're exaggerating as you from the get go here. Of course there are people that do have problems with 2.0v3, but I think it's safe to say that most subscribers here use 2.0v3 and unfixable DB problems doesn't seem to be the biggest problem area nor a highly frequent one.
