>It's been a while, but I'm pretty sure that I received an email >announcement about the new marketing practices. Is it possible that >you joined Yahoo after they modified their terms of service? Nope, I had joined some 6 months before I stumbled onto the heads up and went to Yahoo to opt out. >Does BellSouth run a spam filter on incoming email? Did the spam >originate from a BellSouth user? If the answer to both questions is >"no", I don't think there's much that the BellSouth Abuse staff can do >about it. I think they've recently implemented one -- got a message about something like that, and saw it mentioned on their Web page -- but haven't authorized it to be applied to my account. However I think when spam is reported the BellSouth folks will attempt to track down the originator, as well as notifying relay systems of what is happening. I did this for a while when I first got on the 'Net, but it took =way= too much of my time. -- Selah!
