That was probably a very usable workaround. I just wanted to point out that I don't have this problem with Emailer 2.0v3 under OS X 10.2.0. So it's quite possibly a problem you can find the culprit for and thus avoid this problem completely.a Can the people that have this problem with hung messages please indicate what Emailer version they use, what OS versions, and what *profile* they have loaded Classic under? I suspect several problems with Emailer under OS X, may really be due to people not loading Apple extensions *only* when they boot to Classic or having any other Mac OS other than 9.2.2.
The timeout for the first account problem when letting OS X connect is probably the only problem I've been able to reproduce. While understandable considering it's age, I still feel too many people have been jumping too soon to the conclusion that Emailer is to blame for every problem they are having, especially in OS X. It would be beneficial if everyone was clear on what versions they do use, so that other people could reproduce problems. If they can't, the problem isn't necessarily Emailers nor OS Xs. If they other hand, can reproduce, solutions and/or workarounds, such as DataDemons tips here, can be investigated and offered, before Emailer is dismissed as a totally hopeless case.
