When I got a cable connection, I bought Net Barrier, a firewall program.
After initial setup I have never thought about it, but over the last year
or so I have received a total of three "Ping flooding" alerts, the latest
a few minutes ago. It gives me the IP of the sender and lets me put the
sender on a stop list.

Could someone explain what ping flooding is and why I should care about
it?

Thanks.
