In my opinion, that is not a wise thing as you are just confirming that the email address is valid and it will get a response, albeit an automated reply. Since many of their tools are automated, you are just creating more of a loop of unwanted mail. You should be able to create a script that would just send the message out to what you have determined as genuine people, but I will leave that up to someone else to tackle as I can't get my head around that at the moment.
