No no, you can send to any address you want. The problem comes in if you
are connected to WorldNet, and try to use an Adelphia SMTP server to do
the sending with... that will most likely fail. Same going the other way
around, if you are on Adelphia, and try to use the WorldNet SMTP server
to send, it will probably fail.

BUT, if you use the SMTP server of whatever service you are currently
connected it, it should work, provided they don't require authentication
for all connections. It is quite possible that both always require
authentication.

>Adephia using CE works fine.

AOL plays by its own rules... although in this instance, they aren't
doing anything terribly odd. When you send using an AOL account, the
Emailer to AOL gateway includes authentication. So when you connect to
AOL, it knows you are a legit user, and doesn't reject sending the email.

What you are seeing with the WorldNet/Adelphia situation is a lack of
authentication. The SMTP server you are trying to use doesn't know that
you are really a customer of the ISP, and so it is refusing to accept
your email. You may be able to get around this by using the SMTP server
for the service you are connected to at the time, or you may have to add
authentication to your email (you can try collecting mail from that
service right before sending, or you may have to use Baton Mail to add
SMTP Authentication to Emailer)
