To that end I am considering acquiring a replacement for Appleworks. Do Word Perfect or Nisus 6.5 open MS files? Are their documents openable by other apps? BTW, I downloaded a (free) MS Powerpoint Viewer and it has not been able to open either of two .pps attachments, declaring the files were "not a presentation nor a text file with a valid list of presentations", which I believe to be incorrect. Any advice?
