Believe me, I do.

Regarding all your other suggestions, I'll file your response in the 
event I ever get enough spam to justify the effort, but for now it would 
be more trouble to take those measures than it is to read and delete the 
tiny amount of spam I get.

There is one measure you suggested that wouldn't work for me though.

I work for two different campuses of a university, and one of them sends 
all mail as HTML. I'd like to continue working there, so I'm not going to 
tell them that I won't accept HTML mail.
