It's not possible to turn off HTML at your hotmail account. At least I can find the setting. Even if it's possible, for many people including high school student, it is beyond reach to change settings such as HTML on outgoing. Thus, this can't be trusted to work. The only solution I can think off is a simple message required to be sent before accepting mail, that adds the senders mailadress to the addressbook.
