Actually, this isn't the case!  And you don't need to use your business's 
email server, either. You can use your Pacbell account -- they just won't 
admit it!  

There is a "secret" (i.e., undocumented) Pacbell/Yahoo SMTP server that 
does NOT require authentication, and is usable by customers running older 
email clients (such as Claris) that don't do SMTP authentication.

Here it is:  mail.pacbell.net

Put that in the "SMTP server" field in your Claris email account prefs, 
in place of whatever server Pacbell/Yahoo told you to put there (I bet 
they told you smtp.pacbell.yahoo.com -- well don't believe them!)

Shhh... don't tell anyone I told you about it.
