Oh, thank goodness.

>Hmm, you mean you think the names are a part of the address then?

I'm not sure why I'm eggsplaining this to someone who already knows
how to do it, but here I am doing it...

1. OK, I just opened an email that has a bunch of addresses in the
header and I'm going to practice with it.
2. Now I've opened the address book and opened a "New Group" pane.
I also closed the address book's main window and dragged the
"New Group" pane to the right... hope that's OK.
3. I now forward that email to no one in particular. The addresses
that were in the header of the original are now in the body of
   the new email.
4. I also see some extraneous text - there's a line that says "Begin
Forwarded Messages", a second line that begins Date: followed by
a date, a third line that begins Received: followed by a date,
a fourth line that begins From: followed by an address I don't
care about, and a fifth line that begins To: followed by some
spaces. I think of all this text as extraneous text and I do not
   select it.
5. Beginning with the first address - after the word To: and its
following spaces - I drag-select all the email addresses up to,
but not including, the return character before the text "CC:".
I treat those characters as extraneous text. The selected text
now contains only standard-format email addresses:
[Name Morename, [EMAIL PROTECTED] The "Name Morename," portion
of the address is not extraneous text in this standard format.
6. I will now drag the selected text block onto the New Group pane.
Emailer asked me about some names in that block that appear to be
duplicates of entries that are already in my address book. How
convenient. I told it what to do with them.
7. Likewise, I now drag-select all the email addresses that appear
after the "CC:". I didn't select the "CC:" because that is
extraneous text. I repeat step 6 with that text block.
8. I now notice that there is some more text, but it appears to be
the body of the old email message. That's extraneous text, so I
don't bother to do anything with it.
9. I now discard the forwarded email, since the original addressee -
no one in particular - doesn't want it.
10.I didn't save the new group because I was just practicing. I
just cancelled the New Group pane.

Voila - I created a wonderful new group by creating a forwarded
email and moving two text blocks of email addresses. If I hadn't
been doing all this explaining, it would've taken about a minute.
If I'm not mistaken, I did what I first described.

Clear enough? Did I pass the test?
