Did this and it still doubles some of the emails on the first pass. It does the AOL. Does not unpack the others. I process the AOL mail delete it or whatever. Quit, it then unpacks the other mail and some of the AOL mail again. Process everything. Quit, it then unpacked one of the AOL email. Deleted it again and it was finally gone from the temp folder. >If there are files still in it, move them out of the Temp Incoming >folder, start Emailer. Does it unpack any more email? No it never does this if you remove the files from the temp folder. >What I am trying to determine here is two things. 1: is Emailer properly >deleting the Temp Incoming files after processing them. 2: Is Emailer >reporting email as new or unpacked when in fact it didn't process >anything. Yes, it does both of these. >I'm guessing No to both questions (ie: No emailer is not deleting the >files, and No it is not improperly reporting new email when there isn't >any... in other words, the source of the problem would be the fact that >the Temp Files aren't being deleted). Correct either the temp files are not being deleted OR they are not processed at all. >IF it turns out the Temp Files aren't being deleted, then we have to >figure out why. You say that if you copy your Emailer setup to another >computer, the problem goes away. What happens if you then take the COPY >and copy it back to the original computer where the problem exists. Does >the problem return or does it stay gone? When it goes to the other machine it behaves correctly. When you copy the files back it has the same problem. This is machine specific. The machine that has a problem is a Dual G4 1 Mhz Sys 10.2.6 and the one that works correctly is a G3 400 mhz powerbook 10.1.5.
