Sorry, but I don't know how to assign a more descriptive title, so there is the story.
This afternoon, a friend replied to a post that I sent to him. I read his reply and deleted it. I subscribe to a wine column in the Wall Street Journal, and tonight I got a post from them- in fact I got it twice. I deleted both copies. Then later I got the WSJ wine post again. When I open it, it has the title and text of the post from my friend that I deleted hours earlier. If I try to delete it again, it causes Emailer to shut down. So I have this bold titled post from the WSJ in my deleted mail folder, but when I open it the title and text are the same as the earlier post from my friend, and I can't delete it. Now I've received a spam post with an html attachment, and I open it, delete it, but then it stays in my in box with a bold title as if it had never been opened. I've run Norton, trashed the incoming mail folder and launched emailer again, but nothing helps. Meanwhile, I sent myself a test post and was able to open and delete it. Anyone have any suggestions? I'll be gone from the wee hours tomorrow until Saturday evening, so will be unable to respond to any helpful posts until late Saturday.
