Dear friends -
I'm having the shakes now from reading these discussions about how to fix problems
with Emailer and the new technology we have. I was going to upgrade my G3 to install
OS X from 8.6 and found many of you in disagreement about this. So I contacted our
local Apple certified computer store and the tech there told me I can purchase OS X
for $129 . He then told me that I have three 64mb cards in my G3 and this would be
enough for me to install OSX but it would be better to have the recommended 256mb. So
he said he could sell me a 256 to replace one of the 64s and that would give me the
total of 384mg which one of your had suggested before. He did not say anything about
my HD and except that my unused amount of 1.5gb would be sufficient to intall OSx.
However I am now really fearful of what to do and maybe instead of trying to upgrade I
ought to save up and purchase the new G5 that will be out next month. It comes with
the latest OS but I'm not sure that it will support my Emailer. I'm lost as what to
do for like all you guys I simply don't want to lose my Emailer. One of my friends
says that Eudora does everything Emailer does but that is not what I hear on this
List. So I have three questions left from my fears.
1. Can I upgrade (OS x) with what I have and if not what to I need to do?
2. Will the G5 support Emailer.
3 Does anyone have a comparision report of all the available emailers that shows
features and shortcomings etc.
much appreciation,
doug

What they desperately need is to know how to live their lives
they need to know who they are, to what purpose they exist,
and how they should act towards one another; and, once they
know the answers to these questions they need to be helped to
gradually apply these answers to everyday behavior. It is to the
solution of this basic problem of mankind that the greater part of
all our energy and resources should be directed....
