It's interesting (at least *I* think it's interesting) that I know more 
Vietnam vets that were snubbed by their local Legion posts and VFWs when 
they arrived home, than were mistreated by protesters.  Some of those 
Vietnam vets became protesters themselves, after all, and a fraction of  
those were mistreated again for exercising the first-amendment rights 
that they'd sworn to defend.  

I support our troops, yes... my heart aches for them.  
I do not support my country's current foreign policies.  
Vietnam taught me - big time - not to confuse those two things.
