I have Emailer(2.0v3) set to check for mail every 10 minutes when I am logged on. On the first check of the day I generally receive 100 or so emails, mostly spam. Ten minutes later I receive another 100, but they are duplicates of of the first check, plus one or two new items. This can happen anywhere between 5 & 10 times. Imagine getting 10 copies, with attachments, of 100 spams. I did a simple database rebuild and again checked the mail. The first check after the rebuild still downloaded duplicates of everything. On the next check all was normal, only new emails were received. After a day or so of normal operation, the problem was back again. I then did an advance rebuild, the problem still persist. I am again having the same problem with duplicates this mornings. I have let it check 6 times, and I have 6 copies of mostly spam plus all of their attachments.
I went to my other computer which checks the same account, although I don't make an attempt to keep the two databases exactly in sync with one another. I get the same results. This morning, after receiving the duplicates, I used Mail Siphon to log onto the server. The only duplicates that I saw were a few multiple spams. Does anyone have any idea what is going on and suggestions on how I can go about fixing this?
