The Finder won't always rebuild the icon links until the application the docs belong to is actually launched. So after a rebuild, you may have generic icons until such time that links can be recreated. One way to help force that is to double click the icon. If the correct app launches, then it should gain its icon shortly there after. If it says it can't open the item because the app can't be found (or it tries to open it in the wrong app), then your type/creator codes may be screwed up. If this has happened out of the blue (they were fine, then just went bad for no known reason), then that may be a sign of hard drive problems. Run your favorite disk repair tool and see what it says. -chris <http://www.mythtech.net> ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
