>Anyone know where these help apps and related help files oughta be? The installers put them in the Claris folder within the active system folder, but it's not the best way to go. Move Emailer's help and original QuickHelp app into the same folder as Emailer, and move ClarisWork's help and original QuickHelp app into the same folder as ClarisWork. Each one should then be called when appropriate. Avoid renaming the QuickHelp applications, as they tend to be found by name (strange), starting in the calling app's folder, then the Claris folder. It can be "QuickHelp" or QuickHelp (tm) etc. Try to find a backup or the installers to detemine which QuickHelp app belongs to Emailer or ClarisWorks (don't trust the help key or menu, it will usually find one, but not necessarily the one that was installed with the app). Some versions of QuickHelp's data files are compatible with other versions of QuickHelp, some aren't. QuickHelp usually opens older data files, but sometimes localized versions give unexpected results: the best bet is to use each data file with the version of QuickHelp it came with, by moving them to the application's folder. Other applications use various versions of QuickHelp too (some Adobe apps did). ---- VRic ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
