Hmm, when I realised it was reaching unmanageable proportions I stopped
asking people to fill in the form. I resolved to do it using PHP and SQL.
I got PHP and MySQL set up on my Unix server. And guess what?

Yes, I need one of those circular things.

I need to get a round tuit.

First I need to learn PHP and SQL scripting.

Wanna job?

(I can't commit a lot of money to this - hundreds but not thousands.)

Here's the survey results so far:

Crap, isn't it?

Needs a database.

I also thought of providing a drop-down menu with all TV make/models
listed.
HAH! Can you imagine how many there are? Just in the last ten years it
would run to thousands. But it needs some intelligent means of sorting
out model numbers - especially for those people who can't copy or can't
use the SHIFT key (or both).

>(blatant plug for my day job) :-)

I don't understand much on your web page. Name capitalization I
understand. But the ones I've tried usually fail with names like
O'Leary, McAfee, MacLeod. I was following some examples of PHP
scripts to handle this and they became more and more complex as
people tried to get to grips with all the possibilities. And then you
have the foreign accents!

(Sorry for the length. This was intended as a private reply to Chris
but it bounced back so maybe he'll read it this way!)
