This is somewhat off topic but I've gotten better advice from
this list than just about anywhere so here goes.
My hard drive with emailer on it started clicking. I shut down
the computer and upon restarting the drive, it didn't mount. This drive
primarily contains applications which I could reinstall on another drive.
However, I did have my emailer files including the database on this drive which
I would like to recover. Any suggestions on how to do this without spending
several hundred dollars for a professional data recovery service? Please no
lectures about backing up...I've learned my lesson and will now backup
religiously.
