My wife is having some problems that I can't solve. Unfortunately I wasn't here when it started, but she called me from work and ordered me to fix it anyway. She is using CE 2.0.3 on an old iMacSE running OS 9.0.
She had received and sent mail successfully and then got some sort of "system error, Claris Emailer." After restarting, she checked mail and got three or four copies of each incoming post and then CE froze again. After being called in to fix this thing, I trashed the only post in the temp incoming folder (I'm a one-trick pony) and tried launching CE again. When it launches, it makes the normal system noises for a very long time and that little Norton system activity thingy in the upper left corner of the screen blinks for a long time, and then the computer freezes. On one of my restarts, after the program was open but the system activity was still going on, I tried opening one of the new posts in her in-box. It opened, but then I got a System Error Claris Emailer CHK error When I hit the restart button nothing happened the first few times, and then finally the computer froze and the cursor disappeared. Any suggestions?
