Okay, so I'm still here with Claris E-mailer on the new 17" iMac, and there's this little issue of the incoming message window for longer messages opening in a window so large that it goes down behind the dock - and of course that means I have to drag the window up by the edge to even get to the "down" scrolling arrow. Am I missing something? Can I reset the size (vertical) of the incoming message window?
And not to beg, but I'm still puzzling over the following: >When I first ran Emailer on the iMac, I got an error that said "Claris >Emailer could not open the required file "Connections" because an unknown >error (-5000) occurred. Press OK to quit." > >I solved this, I thought, by copying over the Claris folder from my >Performa's System Folder and placing it in the OS 9 System folder. For >some reason I had to recreate the Preferences file, but after that it >appeared to work okay. > >Then I created my wife's ID on the machine, and tried to show her how to >use Emailer -- same error. I have since adjusted the security both on >the Emailer application folder and the Claris folder to allow read/write >access by all (applying to all levels below the folder), but to no avail. > >I can't seem to adjust the privileges on the OS 9 System folder itself - >could that be the issue? How do I do this, as the owner is "system"? >(Sorry to be asking for OS X help - but it's in a just cause.)
