 If the other accounts belong to the same group as you (admin) then
you have to make sure that the group permissions, not "others"
permissions, allow r/w access those folders.

 BTW, the only shared files which require write access are Preferences
and the User Dictionary, I think.

 Give that a try and see if it doesn't fix things up.
