Jobs liked/wanted Mail.app, and as Chris notes, that was that. Jobs may also have spurned Emailer as a way of making a clean break with pre-OS X software. Some of the original Emailer developers are now the masterminds behind MS's Entourage. Jud Spencer was among the lead developers. The myth is he created Emailer's database structure in a programming frenzy over a long weekend (this from memory). Jud and Michelle (quality control, I think) used to be active on this list, among other Emailer personnel. They are long gone. As much as we love (and depend) on Emailer is was EOL'ed some years ago and it will NEVER be resurrected. I've been using Mail.app simultaneously with Emailer for about a week now (really tired of launching Classic), but I find it unfamiliar and disconcerting. Having to switch among different mail boxes is a PITA. Also I am unable to configure to accounts, both with Earthlink as the ISP, which check my domain mail boxes. Chris got me out of a jam when Earthlink made some changes a few years ago and I couldn't check those accounts. The trick was to precede the domain name with the account name and insert a %. Chris--any idea how to configure Mail.app to check those domain accounts? Cheers. bevon ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
