Greetings... For me, it was a timely appearance of the E-Mailer/DSL question. I just made the switch to DSL, and would certainly appreciate the offer of translation of my new provider's configuration instructions from "Outlook-Speak" to "E-Mailer-Speak"...
Outlook Express Instructions 1. Open Outlook Express. 2. From the Tools menu, choose Accounts. 3. Click on the Mail tab. 4. Click the "New" button. 5. Enter your name. 6. Click the right arrow icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen. 7. Enter your SBC Yahoo! DSL email address. 8. Click the right arrow icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen. 9. Enter "pop.sbcglobal.yahoo.com" in the Incoming Mail section. 10. Enter "smtp.sbcglobal.yahoo.com" in the Outgoing Mail section. 11. Click the right arrow icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen. 12. In the Account ID section, enter your SBC Yahoo! DSL Member ID. 13. In the Password section, enter your password. Click the right arrow icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen. 14. In the Account Name section, enter the name of the account. 15. At the bottom of the window, click the "Configure account manually" button. 16. In the Sending Mail section, click the button labeled "Click here for advanced sending options." 17. Check the box next to "SMTP server requires authentication." 18. Click the radio button next to "Use same settings as incoming mail server." 19. Click the small close box in the upper-left corner of the Advanced settings dialog box. 20. Click the "OK" button. 21. Close the Accounts window. Thanks! ng ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
