>Firefox 0.8 is the latest - is that the one you're using? Yes, that is what I am using (in windows). I just keep forgetting to stop calling it Firebird.
> I have a feeling that the page rendering problem has been fixed in >Firefox. Which version are you using? Nope, still present in 0.8 It only happens when there are LOTS of images on a page. So it doesn't happen often. When it does happen, it stops being able to display the images correctly. Scrolling thru the page will cause the images to jump and display part of an image with overlapping into other images. Eventually, the browser will appear to stop working entirely, although you can still click the close box. However, if you have multiple instances of it open (as I often do), none of the others will redraw until you have X'd out of all of them. Then the desktop will redraw, and the computer will return to normal function. It is fully safe to immediatly restart Firefox and resume web browsing (just don't go back to the same bad page or it will happen again). This is 100% repeatable. I already know what to look for on a page that will cause it, so when I stumble onto one, I simply close the window before it has a chance to load enough images to cause problems. I then pop open Mozilla and go back to the same page and view it just fine. (I don't use Mozilla full time because I find Firefox faster. Plus since I normally have multiple instances running, Firefox opens the new instance noticably faster than Mozilla does) -chris <http://www.mythtech.net> ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
