They don't work well with some web pages, load some pages in bizarre
fashion, bog down or choke on some pages - since I haven't bothered to
catalog the specifics I can't relate them all to you here. I just recall
that I expected MUCH more and was disappointed. I thought that they'd be
faster and more universal and they weren't. The one that everyone seemed
to love and that I thought stunk was Opera.
     Maybe I wasn't giving them enough memory. I don't know, I'm not a
power user. I stick with Emailer because I like the way it works and
looks, not because it has a gazillion features that others don't.
I checked out the MacOrchard site that chris told us about and it
was VERY helpful - all the good and bad of each browser laid out clearly
and logically! It's by far the most useful resource that I've been told
about to date - thanks, chris! I'm looking forward to spending a great
deal more time looking through all the stuff there.
I downloaded Netscape 7.02 and loaded only the browser functions,
and gave it 50K memory, then ran it all morning and it worked just fine.
Fast and easy to use, easy to look at.
With that positive experience, I look forward to trying Mozilla
again, and maybe this time it'll be right for me. All assistance to date
much appreciated - Charles.
