I have an email account that I can't trick Emailer into accessing :-(. Hope someone has found a trick. The problem is that Emailer never explicitly asks you for the name of the pop server... it assumes it can form it from the account name you supply.
Emailer seems to think that your email account is always of the form [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the pop server being pop.somedomain.com, so you put in [EMAIL PROTECTED] for the account and it gets both the pop server and your account name an one swell foop... except when it doesn't :-( I have an email account "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" with both the pop and smtp servers named "mail.mymailserver.com" Using Emailer's logic, my "account" should be [EMAIL PROTECTED]@mail.myserver.com. Of course it chokes on that :-) There is no pop server named "pop.mydomain.com" and no user account named "[EMAIL PROTECTED]", so it doesn't seem possible to access this account with emailer. I should note that Outlook Express has no problem at all since it asks you for your account and your pop server independently. Surely someone else has run across this problem and solved it? Thanks, Steve ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
