It was a snap in Claris Home Page. Once I decided on an appropriate
thumbnail size (72 pixels per inch, to make loading time minimal) I knew
how many items could be listed per page; then I created picture (graphic?
Don't recall) blocks (for the thumbnails) and corresponding text blocks
(for identifications). Linked each thumbnail with the appropriate picture
block, and entered the corresponding identifications. Then I linked the
thumbnail/picture blocks to the corresponding full-size .jpgs. Should
work the same for anything else, with a little experimentation.

Oh yes, I used GraphicConverter to create/resize the thumbnails.
