I did a simple rebuild--that didn't help--then the advanced--that didn't 
help. I now have two messages launquishing in my outbox, one with a jpeg 
attached, and the other with a pdf attached.  I'll let 'em sit there and 
see how it takes for one or both to manage to get out.

The error log says that the problem comes when CE is "preparing 
messages."  Then comes the part about "file was busy."  How does CE 
"prepare messages"?  What is involved in that?  

Is there anything in OS 10.3.5 that could be causing me problems?
