the hard part with "non-engineers" contributing is they won't understand 
how to read the specification, assuming you will write one. the feature 
input will be valuable.

Fortunately, we have an excellent template to copy in Emailer, if 99% of 
the work was copying it identically, fixing a few bugs/OS X issues, you 
will have succeeded. (at least for version 1.0)

The next focus is realizing that this program is probably not going to 
have a huge audience, so keeping engineering time low enough to ensure 
that the project doesn't grow out of its "budget". ;-)
