I used to be REALLY good at using the correct word (then vs than).

Something happened over the last few years in my head, and "than" seems 
to have been blanked from my vocabulary.

I think part of the problem is, English taught in some schools in the USA 
can to be pretty poor with getting the finer details of the language out. 
As a result, you do often see Who instead of Whom, Then instead of Than, 
and Thru instead of Through (and other similar errors, those are just the 
ones that pop into my head). Around here, you can actually tell what 
school a person went to based on their use of language, and abilities in 
math, science, history, and other primary subjects.

I'll try to be more conscious of it in the future. Maybe I can work 
myself back into the habit of using the correct word.
