Could this be the end of [EMAIL PROTECTED] for me?
I have been forced to migrate to Exchange for our email server. Needless
to say, I am having nightmares getting Claris to play nice with Exchange.
I have been able to get my POP accounts to connect and download mail, but
I cannot for the life of me get it to send mail. (I'm actually sending
this over an old "backup" server and using a form of my e-mail account to
connect and get messages sent.)
So, here are my account settings to talk to the Exchange server:
Email account: pecandeluxe/Doug Starkey/[EMAIL PROTECTED]
SMTP server: smtp.pecandeluxe.com
Email address: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
"pop.pecandeluxe.com" & "smtp.pecandeluxe.com" are the exchange server. I
am using the "hacked" SMTP Auth version of [EMAIL PROTECTED]
And this is the error I get:
Sending mail using "smtp.pecandeluxe.com"
** SMTP server error "535 5.7.3 Authentication unsuccessful."
I have set my server to allow my account to relay and my IP to relay.
Still no help.
I have even tried setting things up so my POP (Email account:) remains as
is but SMTP goes out over my "backup" server (bigbrother.pecandeluxe.com
- the one I am sending over right now... but without the same account
settings as above).
I'm stumped. Is anyone else out there using [EMAIL PROTECTED] with Exchange?
If not, looks like I'm gonna have to move to Entourage or Mail or Outlook
for Mac (for my OS9 machines). :-(
TIA,
