Don't try the hinges yourself. The best you can do with the hings is a $299 repair, including shipping. The hinges can sell for $250 themeselves, and are near impossible to fix. techrestore.com is the best place I know of. Your powerbook may be totaled, unfortunately. Screns on ebay have sold for $300 by themselves. The Powerbook is only worth $650-800. Consider an ibook G4, which is relatively fast if you add some RAM, and can handle the beating up that a laptop undergoes. ;-) Yes I could (produce hit singles), but I don't want to have to walk around with a tiny nose and a white glove.
