I really cannot agree with you about Mail. I still don't like it though I 
have it on a laptop and occasionally use it to check for client when out 
of the office, it lacks some of the sleek things CE does so easily, or 
maybe I do so easily with it, IMHO it is still a slow application and 
like several other MAC OSX programs does not have keystrokes for several 
often used functions that must be performed by mouse clicks - very 
unproductive. Just yesterday I had problems with a client using Mail and 
had no choice but to move her to Thunderbird, which she was happy to do 
because it felt a lot like the Netscape mail she had been used to.

While CE IS log in the tooth, I don't think it has become as frail as you 
express and it is really not that hard to manage. I have had a few times 
where I needed to reconfigure an account and occasionally Classic crashes 
but I have not bothered to find out why yet as it only affects CE and a 
reboot fixes it.

I am sure we all realise the day will come when we have to move on but 
personally I expect to go down with the sinking ship.
