Thanks Chris, I never knew this before. However I cannot Save as PDF in Classic mode from ClarisWorks, AppleWorks or WordPerfect. Why is that?

Because the Save as PDF is a function of the OS X print driver, when in Classic, the apps are trying to use Classic printers.

In fact I cannot print through my Epson CX6600 from those either, not that it matter than much except that I do have some old files from those apps that I once in a while may want to print.

Same reason as the PDF, the CX6000 is setup in OS X, and Classic doesn't have the slightest idea it exists. You would have to install appropriate drivers in Classic for it to work.

I forget how to put the CX 6600 Driver into the old Classic Chooser.

Chances are, you need an installer for OS 9 or earlier. In theory, if you had all the right bits, you could drop them into the correct folders in the System Folder for OS 9 (Classic), which would likely be everything going into the Extensions folder (but could have bits in other places, I don't know, I've never used a CX6600, so I don't know what it puts where).

But if you find that you need to print to your CX6600 from Classic apps, go to Epson's web site and see if they have an OS 9 driver installer. Download it, and then run it, it should take care of setting up the printer in OS 9, which would (hopefully) then let you print to the printer from Classic apps.
