Isn't it running while asleep? My scheduled maintenance procedures seem to happen in the middle of the night while the machine is asleep. I have occasionally awakened and, en route to the bathroom, noticed an otherworldly glow emanating from the "computer" room and assumed that it was some sort of maintenance happening.
