Dear List, In order to create this duplicate message problem and afterwards be able to look for the solution, I moved myself from a 10.3 Mac to a 10.4 Mac a couple of days ago.
Nice, so here I am now. But now I have the following question. If on the previous Mac i double-clicked on a .html attachment, my browser Safari would open and show the page. Same for a MAC OS 9 screen picture.. then Simpletext would open. But on my brand new 10.4 Mac, this relation is not in place, and when clicking on a .html attachment, I get a dialog telling me that Internet Explo(d)er will be opened for the first time. However, outside CE and the Classic box, my OS 10.4 does know very well that Safari needs to be opened, and works fine. So, do you have any idea where I can change the relationship between .html and a program, or .pict and a program or .txt and a program etc... ? I used to do this by taking the .html file, and select GET INFO, and specify "Open with..." But although I think I solved this before, I am looking in the wrong corner, and maybe I need to restart Classic.. Please ship your good advice by the gallon... Marc --- And those folks who managed to get nice fortune sayings at the bottom in their signature from within CE.... may tell me how to do that as well, as I'm getting pretty jalous, and I will call you all insurgents if you dont tell me that nice little secret, because I ask so politely ... :-) --- Have a nice weekend... we're testing the weekend 8 hours upfront for you. --- Just Marc _,,,'^-_-^',,,_ [EMAIL PROTECTED] - ICQ 3888426 W has gone haywire, with his BADGET ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
